Legend in his own lagoon is a fun take at kitesurfing, as Tania and her partner both partake in the sport it was the spirit of all things relating to kitesurfing - particularly the traits of some that are drawn to a perceived extreme sport that flowed her artistic inspiration for this story board styled painting.
The scene could be located anywhere , But is inspired from the beach of luckybay in Cape Le Grand National Park - the tourist snorkeler, the kangaroos on the beach, the "peanut gallery" watching and of course not forgetting the rivalry of the windsurfer and all the lost waterproof camera's on the bottom of the ocean , and lastly lets not forget the pro photographer taking this picture.
The question to ask is - what is the reality to the kitersurfer and what isn't.... maybe the photo lens provides the answer?
